  • Pharmaceutical drug pushing Judge forces child into more Chemotherapy

Pharmaceutical drug pushing Judge forces child into more Chemotherapy

Pharmaceuticals are taking over the judgements of judges and parents.  Under the law you have no choice for treatment for your child.  In many other countries you and your doctors can choose any alternative treatment for cancer.  In fact it is proven the chemo is not best treatment for cancer.  If you want more information about treatments you will need to fly out of America.  However, here is a good place to start, https://thetruthaboutcancer.com/.

     – A 3-year-old cancer patient must undergo chemotherapy over the next 28 days despite the wishes of his parents, a Tampa judge ruled Wednesday afternoon. But she did not make a decision about treatment options after that.

The ruling marks the latest twist in the case of Noah McAdams, who was was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia back in April.  After two rounds of chemotherapy, his parents Joshua McAdams and Taylor Bland decided they wanted to try a more natural, holistic approach.

When they failed to show up for a chemo appointment at All Children’s Hospital on April 22, authorities tracked them down in Kentucky and brought the family back.  Days later, a Tampa judge ordered temporary custody to Noah’s maternal grandmother.

After a day’s worth of testimony Wednesday, the judge decided that Noah would get chemotherapy for 28 days, but allowed the possibility of holistic treatments in conjunction with the chemo. She also delayed any ruling on follow-up rounds of treatment until a later date.

The media was not allowed into the courtroom because of patient privacy concerns.

Following the ruling, the couple joined their attorney outside court to say they’d abide by the ruling.

“It is a mixed bag in that we obviously have to watch this child go through chemotherapy, but we know that, at least with the use of cannabis and other treatment that the child will hopefully be able to deal with the chemotherapy better than not having those alternative treatments available,” attorney Michael Minardi offered.

“I think it’s real important that people know there are alternatives to chemotherapy,” Taylor Bland added.

Earlier in the day, a handful of demonstrators gathered outside the courthouse with signs supporting the right of Noah’s parents to make medical decisions for their son.  One protestor, named Chanda, said she doesn’t know the family, but was moved to support them because “when a parent isn’t being negligent and they are doing everything in their power to keep their child healthy, it’s their child, it should be their choice.”

On Tuesday, Minardi had explained why the parents want to try cannabis as an alternative approach. “There are many studies that indicate that cannabis creates and causes cell death of cancer without the harmful side effects,” Minardi told FOX 13.

But the science on cannabis is not widely accepted and the treatment is not FDA-approved. Chemotherapy, on the other hand, is shown to be 90-percent effective against the kind of leukemia Noah has, according Dr. Bijal Shah, of Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.

While the side effects of chemo can be brutal, Dr. Shah says patients who end it early almost always see their cancer return.

  • New Old Spanish coins that predate Christopher Columbus by 200 years found deep in the Utah desert

New Old Spanish coins that predate Christopher Columbus by 200 years found deep in the Utah desert

It has long been the belief that Chris did not discover America, but he did make a lasting impression.  What would we do without Columbus Day?

Spanish treasure that predates the arrival of Columbus by 200 years has been found in a US national park.  The two coins, one minted in Madrid in 1660 and the other made around the 1200s, were found lying on the floor at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Utah.  Their presence in the desert remains unexplained and no information has been released about whether they were found with other artifacts.  Spanish explorers arrived in Mexico in the 1500s and began exploring north, although there is no record of them being in America at the time the coins were made.

    Left by settlers or explorers

This is the most exciting theory as it suggests Spanish settlers could have been in the area as much as 500 years earlier than currently known.  However it is regarded by experts as extremely unlikely, while Spain controlled large swathes of the Southern and Western United States  until the 19th century they did not establish a serious presence until 1519 onwards.  Christopher Columbus set foot in the Americas in 1492.  At present the first presence is recorded in 1765 with the Spanish expedition led by Juan Antonio de Rivera.  However, the coins could record a previously undocumented earlier expedition as one dates back to the 1200s

Traded with a native American tribe

There is also a suggestion that the coins may have been traded with a native American tribe that then transported them to the area.  Christopher Columbus reached the Americas in 1492, although other explorers had arrived in the Caribbean beforehand.  It is possible the coins were traded with a native American tribe which traded them with others before they were transported to, and eventually lost, in Utah.

Brought to America long after they were minted

It is also possible that the old coins were actually brought to the Americas long after they were minted.  Despite both being made in Spain, one in the 1660s and the second in the 1200s, it is possible they were kept in Spain and transported to the new colonies much later.  After Columbus arrived in 1492, Spaniard settlers began to arrive. When moving to the Americas they took all their possessions with them including – quite possibly – these coins.

    Dropped by a tourist?

Archaeologists also aren’t ruling out the theory that the coins were dropped by a tourist – as they were found among litter.  This could be the more plausible theory as old coins were a favored souvenir for soldiers returning from the Middle East and in the two World Wars.  With such different minting dates it also seems unlikely that they were in circulation in Spain at the same time

  • Need ‘POLITICALLY CORRECT’ Grammer? I think good grammar would work!

Need ‘POLITICALLY CORRECT’ Grammer? I think good grammar would work!

I see, now you need to rewrite what I want to say.  Politically correct is not freedom of speech!  I need to be able to write well, concise, and use words that explain what I wish to communicate.  Maybe the word needs to be polite social instead of politically correct?

You know how annoying it is when the iPhone corrects ‘fucking’ to ‘ducking’ every time you type out the word? Imagine that for an entire essay.

The new feature, called ‘Ideas in Word’, will recommend ‘sensitive’ phrases like “We need to get some fresh blood in here” be modified so that “fresh blood” becomes “new employees”.

“It might underline places where your writing exhibited gender bias,” reports Fast Company. “If you tend to say “mailman” or Congressman” in the generic, it might suggest you use “mailperson” or “Congressperson.” If you use the term “gentlemen’s agreement,” it may suggest you use “unspoken agreement” instead.”

The term “disabled person” would be replaced with “person with a disability” while the new version’s “inclusiveness check” searches for words or phrases that might be “offensive” to someone from another country or culture.

Mark Sullivan, who is a fan of the new features, says he is worried about “unknowingly or accidentally inserting terms or references in my writing that convey value judgements that I don’t really mean” and wants to avoid “writing something that might offend”.

Rumor has it that every new purchase of Word will come with a voucher for a yearly supply of soy lattes from Starbucks.

  • Muslim Want to Kill Us! Muslim Society Video: ‘We Will Chop Off Their Heads (American) for Allah’

Muslim Want to Kill Us! Muslim Society Video: ‘We Will Chop Off Their Heads (American) for Allah’

Wake Up America!  This is happening here in the US!  Little US citizens are being taught to kill other Americans!  Maybe China has the answer, burn it up and no more religion for anyone?

Alarming video showing Muslim children standing together as a group saying they would sacrifice themselves and kill as members of the “army of Allah” has emerged from an Islamic center located in Philadelphia, PA.

Fox News reports the Muslim American Society (MAS) Islamic Center in Philadelphia posted the video to its Facebook page celebrating “Ummah Day” in which young children wearing Palestinian scarves sang and read poetry about killing for Allah and the mosque in Jerusalem.

The watchdog group, the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), alerted the network to the video.

“These are not isolated incidents; they are happening in major centers of the country – including in Pennsylvania,” MEMRI said in a statement.

In a post to his Facebook page, Evangelist Franklin Graham asked his followers, “Should this concern us? You bet it, should!”

“A video of young children being indoctrinated for radical Islam was posted on the Muslim American Society in Philadelphia’s Facebook page. The kids were saying: “We will sacrifice our souls without hesitation;” “We will chop off their heads;” “We will lead the army of Allah;” “We will subject them to eternal torture,” Graham wrote.

“Should this concern us? You bet it should! This is how terrorists and suicide bombers are made. The watchdog group, Middle East Media Research Institute warned, ‘These are not isolated incidents; they are happening in major centers of the country–including in Pennsylvania.’ Our country needs to wake up—this evil is being taught right under our noses, spreading darkness to the next generation,” the evangelist concluded.

The MAS has 42 chapters in the United States and one in the United Kingdom, according to the MEMRI website.

The MAS website says its mission is to “move people to strive for God-consciousness, liberty, and justice, and to convey Islam with utmost clarity,” and that its vision is “a virtuous and just American society.”

  • U.S. seizes North Korean ship suspected of violating U.N. sanctions

U.S. seizes North Korean ship suspected of violating U.N. sanctions

The U.S. has seized a North Korean freighter that was caught shipping coal in violation of U.N. sanctions, the Justice Department revealed Thursday.  The 17,000-ton cargo ship, called the Wise Honest, was stopped in Indonesia last year after it was found to be carrying coal. The ship’s captain was charged with violating Indonesian law, and last July, the U.S. filed an action to seize the ship, according to court papers.  Federal prosecutors said the seizure marks the first time the U.S. has taken possession of a North Korean ship for violating international sanctions.  “This sanctions-busting ship is now out of service,” said John Demers, assistant attorney general for the Justice Department’s National Security Division.  The Wise Honest, North Korea’s second-largest ship for carrying bulk cargo, was on its way to American Samoa, U.S. officials said.  On Thursday, the Justice Department asked a federal judge to give the U.S. ownership of the vessel through a civil forfeiture action — the same thing prosecutors do when they seek to take ownership of planes or boats used by drug smugglers. The Justice Department says the U.S. is entitled to take this action because payments to maintain and equip the vessel were made through American banks.

“Our office uncovered North Korea’s scheme to export tons of high-grade coal to foreign buyers by concealing the origin of their ship, the Wise Honest,” said Geoffrey Berman, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. “This scheme not only allowed North Korea to evade sanctions, but the Wise Honest was also used to import heavy machinery to North Korea, helping expand North Korea’s capabilities and continuing the cycle of sanctions evasion.”  The announcement of the seizure came just hours after North Korea launched suspected short-range missiles — the second such weapons test in a week. But Berman said the effort to take control of the Wise Honest had been in the works for some time and was not spurred by North Korea’s overnight actions.  The Justice Department said the Korea Songi Shipping Company used the Wise Honest from at least November 2016 through April 2018 — and broke American law by paying U.S. dollars to “unwitting” banks for several improvements, equipment purchases and service expenditures for the vessel.  The March 2018 cargo shipment yielded payments totaling more than $750,000, the Justice Department said.

  • Florida Governor Signs Bill Allowing More Armed Teachers

Florida Governor Signs Bill Allowing More Armed Teachers

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) – More Florida teachers will be eligible to carry guns in the classroom under a bill Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed Wednesday that immediately implements recommendations from a commission formed after the Parkland high school mass shooting.

DeSantis signed the bill in private and didn’t issue a statement afterward. But he made it clear he supports the changes made to the law enacted after a rifle-toting former student walked into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and killed 17 people in February 2018.

The bill was one of the most contentious of the legislative session that ended Saturday. It expands the “guardian” program that allows school districts to approve school employees and teachers with a role outside the classroom, such as a coach, to carry guns. School districts have to approve and teachers have to volunteer. They then go through police-like training with a sheriff’s office and undergo a psychiatric evaluation and a background check.

The new law expands the program to make all teachers eligible regardless of whether they have a non-classroom role.

Democrats spent hours arguing against the bill, saying it could lead to accidental shootings, or that a teacher could panic and fire during a confrontation with students. Republicans emphasized that the program is voluntary, and that law enforcement in some rural districts could be 15 minutes or more from a school if a shooter attacks.

Broward County, where the Parkland shooting took place, has rejected the program.

The measure also contains a number of other school safety measures, such as wider disclosure of certain student mental health records and mental screening of troubled students. It also mandates greater reporting of school safety and student discipline incidents and a requirement that law enforcement officials be consulted about any threats.

  • San Francisco Bans Credit-Only Stores, Sweden Tells Citizens to Hide Cash Under Their Beds

San Francisco Bans Credit-Only Stores, Sweden Tells Citizens to Hide Cash Under Their Beds

The move toward a totally cashless society is running into some roadblocks in the US and abroad.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to become the latest municipality to require retail stores to take cash.

“I just felt it wasn’t fair that if someone wanted to buy a sandwich in a store, and they had cash, that they would be turned away,” Supervisor Vallie Brown, who introduced the legislation told The Associated Press. “We also have our homeless population. They’re not banked.”

Critics say going cashless discriminates against low-income people who don’t have credit cards or bank accounts.

And some people prefer to use cash because they don’t want to leave a digital trail of what they’ve bought and where they’ve been.

Some retailers argue going cashless is safer and more efficient.

But the city of Philadelphia and the state of New Jersey already require stores to take cash and a similar measure has been introduced in New York City.

The efforts come after the rollout last year of cashless Amazon Go stores, which require customers to scan an app to enter. Whatever items customers take are automatically tallied in a virtual cart and charged to a credit card. The retail giant bowed to pressure last month and agreed to accept cash at more than 30 cashless stores.

The AP reports Amazon opened its first cash-accepting store Tuesday in a high-end New York City shopping mall frequented by office workers. Anyone who wants to pay with cash will be swiped through the turnstile entrance by employees. After shoppers grab what they want, an employee will scan the items with a mobile device, take the cash and give customers their change.

Meanwhile, Sweden is telling its citizens to hide banknotes and coins in their homes just in case of a cyber attack on the nation’s banks.

The Daily Mail reports just like in the US and Britain, digital payments in Sweden have become convenient for both buyers and retail establishments alike.  Swedish government experts have warned people that they could be left without the ability to purchase anything if its computer networks were knocked offline due to accidents, malfunctions, terrorism or cyber-warfare.

Sweden’s Civil Contingencies Agency has issued guidance to every household telling residents to stockpile ‘cash in small denominations’ for use in emergencies.  The government has also recommended that each citizen keep cash under their bed, according to The Times.

Sweden became the first European country to issue modern banknotes, in 1661 – ahead of the Bank of England, which followed in 1694, according to The Daily Mail.

  • 400 Soldiers Find Hope in Christ as Non-Profit Offers Extreme Adventure

400 Soldiers Find Hope in Christ as Non-Profit Offers Extreme Adventure

Active duty soldiers go through rigorous training to be able to fight on the front lines of combat, but despite that physical training, their spiritual well being is oftentimes overlooked and they can suffer in silence from things like post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and depression.

However, one non-profit is helping soldiers by getting them involved in extreme sports in order to share the message that true freedom and healing can be found in Christ.

Soul Survivor Outdoor hosts free outdoor adventure events like skydiving, rock-climbing, rappelling, and sailing to reach active duty military, veterans, and their families.

“You get people on the side of a rock or a mountain and it challenges them in ways that they aren’t getting challenged in an office environment when they are going doing a normal day-to-day routine,” Rick Wolf told CBN News.

Wolf is a retired Marine corp lieutenant colonel and the founder of Soul Survivor Outdoor.

He started the program after finding that deployed combat soldiers would return home battling serious problems like PTSD, suicide, and substance abuse.

“Whether we’re talking about the veteran population or the active duty population we know that statistically, the suicide rates are not coming down,” he explained. “Depression, anxiety… these things are pretty significant in the society in general and the military is a cut of the cloth.”

Wolf said although there are programs to help veterans and even active duty soldiers manage these issues, most don’t deal with the root cause.

“As Christians, we know the real answer is Jesus Christ,” he added.

So, Wolf takes them off base and into the air or on top of a mountain to deal with real issues and lead them to the Lord.

The message he shares centers on finding your identity in Christ and it rings loud and clear in the hearts of these warriors.

“Your value as a human being whether you are in the military or someplace else is intrinsic because it comes from your Creator and not from your career, your status, or your phone or something else, but that you really have value,” Wolf explained.

So far, more than 5,000 active duty soldiers have attended Soul Survivor Outdoor events, and last year, alone, 400 soldiers gave their lives to Christ.

Wolf believes the church is missing an opportunity to evangelize soldiers.

“Who more deserving to have the opportunity to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ than this person that has the idea, and they may not even know where it comes from, that no greater love has someone than this to lay down their life for a friend,” he said.

As 165,000 active duty soldiers have been deployed in more than 150 countries this year, Wolf says his organization has only begun to scratch the surface.
