How to Decorate a College Dorm Room – Adorable and Easy!

There are few things that excite me more than an empty dorm room. After three years at boarding school and with sophomore year on the rise, transforming my dorm room is something I continue to look forward to as summer comes to an end. Here are some of my best tips (and secrets…) to making your college dorm room look more like a home and less like a prison cell.

Note: We receive compensation from purchases made through some of the links in this post.

My Favorite College Dorm Room Ideas

    Dorm Lighting

Light is hands-down the most important part of the dorm room. Most dorm rooms have minimal natural light and cringe-worthy fluorescent bulbs that immediately make a room less inviting.

Another essential source of lighting is string lights, which have recently had a comeback in the home decor section of most websites and are no longer as ‘kitchy’ as they once were. I stray away from the wire lights because I have trouble finding places to wrap them around, but a lot of my friends find ways to make it work. A fun use for the wire lights is layering them in an extra-large mason jar for a DIY lamp.

My favorite string lights are Globe String Lights . Two sets of globe string lights will likely be enough to fully line the perimeter of your room. This creates the appearance of natural, warm light that comes from all directions.

This Light Box with Letters and LED Light is also fun, and you can change the included letters to display whatever saying or word you want. It comes in colored letters, or simple black.

    (Obviously, I’m obsessed with lighting.)

    Dorm Decor

    POSTERS AND PRINTS
My first dorm room was laden with posters from AllPosters.com (as many other dorm rooms are) that, while displaying great movie and TV shows, darkened the color scheme and the vibe of the room. Now, I try to decorate with art prints and photographs from small businesses that I find on websites like Etsy and Society6 that have thousands of unique art prints by artists from around the world. Society 6 also offers student discounts of 20%.

20×200 is a company that seeks to make art affordable and I’ve found a few great prints from their site in the past. You can also find unique posters and maps at art stores like A.I. Friedman and Michael’s.

    PHOTOS
Steer clear from the glossy photos you print at the drugstore photo counter and look around on websites like Social Print Studio and Artifact Uprising (a little pricier). Both websites offer square (and large-format) matte prints that you can pull from Facebook, Instagram, or your photo library. These squares look great as a grid, fastened with clothespins on a piece of string, or in the frames that both websites offer.

I often pull photos from websites like Tumblr and even just Google Images of artists’ works that I like and print them on Social Print Studio, which allows me to mix personal photos with more artistic images. You can also use the larger options on these websites to create your own posters or prints. I’m eager to try out their new panorama option.

Also, another option that I have only learned after living through (and decorating) several college dorm rooms is that less is more. It’s fun to have wall-to-wall coverings with photos, prints, tapestries, and so on, but sometimes a more minimal approach gives the room a more mature, sophisticated look that one might have later on in college.

    TAPESTRIES
I use pareos (sarongs), turkish towels, beach blankets, and tablecloths for my wall hangings because I think that they look less typical “dorm room” than the busy-looking tapestries that most companies sell. But, I also think that a statement tapestry can look great on a wall, and should be the standout piece in the room. If you go with a statement tapestry, I’d suggest taking it easy with the remaining decor, and go with neutral bedding.

    Dorm Room Essentials

    Desks

I purchased a Desk Bookshelf (which some dorm rooms come with — check before ordering) my junior year of high school and have used it every year since.

It’s an investment that will last, and aids not only in organization/storage but also in decor. I pile my favorite books atop of the hutch and use the inner shelves for my textbooks, notebooks, and binders.

On my actual desk, I try to have as few items as possible. A good Desk Lamp  is important as well as somewhere that holds pencils and other office supplies that you’ll use everyday. For things that you won’t use as often, store them in the desk drawer using an organizer tray, like this one. I like the organization options offered at The Container Store. I like Miquelrius notebooks (even though they don’t look as cool as Moleskins) because they hold up well and the pages don’t feel cramped.

This year, I pinned some of my favorite personal items, poems, photos, and postcards to a bulletin board and leaned it against the wall behind my desk. It was nice to look at while doing work and something I continued to add to throughout the year.

    Rugs

A rug makes a huge difference in a college dorm room, warming up the space and providing another source of light, brightening colors. I would go with a neutral color that isn’t pure white, because, knowing dorm life, there are going to be a few spills.

In the past years, I’ve either purchased one large area rug that spans most of the room or used two smaller rugs. It’s up to you. Try to find one that doesn’t curl up at the edges, which tends to get annoying.

    Furniture

This really depends on the room, because some have much more space than others. A Butterfly Chair fits in most dorm rooms and can be changed with each school year if covered with a different tapestry. I used a rainbow beach blanket because I didn’t like the original color of the chair, but you can really use anything. Even an old bed sheet would work.

Other options include floor pillows, bean bags, or other similar pieces. One year I even flipped over a dresser that I wasn’t using, layered it with a pool chair cushion and throw pillows, and transformed it into a makeshift daybed.

Another great option, if you have the space, is a small couch with the option of storage cubes. A lounger that doubles as somewhere to put your shoes, food, or clothes is always a plus. I used my brother’s old couch from PB Teen, covered it with a tablecloth, and purchased the storage cubes from their website.

    “Kitchen” Area

Kitchen Cart is great for additional storage in narrow spaces. I found a reasonably priced, nice one on Amazon that also doubles as a place to keep your microwave.

    Closet

In my experience, you either get really lucky with a closet or you don’t. In the case that you don’t, a double rod extender makes one into two rows on the closet bar so you can hang things like skirts and pants. Raising the bed up with risers provides for under-the-bed storage, which is where I typically keep everything besides shoes and hanging items.

If you can’t fit a shoe rack in the closet area, you can use a cube. I like clear drawers from The Container Store that are stackable and, because of the transparency, perfect for easy access. They offer both pull-out drawers and open-faced ones.

  • Cafe in Ireland supposedly adds 15% surcharge to bill for screaming children

Cafe in Ireland supposedly adds 15% surcharge to bill for screaming children

One cafe in Dublin, Ireland, has had enough of noisy children.

On May 5, The White Moose Cafe announced that they would be implementing a “screaming child tax” for the “benefit of both staff and customers”.

    15 per cent surcharge

According to their Facebook post, a 15 per cent surcharge will be applied to the bill if they notice that “your child is screaming”.

Apparently, an additional 10 per cent will be added for every further screaming child in the group.

However, the charge will supposedly be capped at four children, in which case the entire group will be asked to leave.

“We trust you understand our position,” they added.

    Cafe known for being tongue-in-cheek

It is unclear if this policy will actually be implemented, given that the cafe is known for its snarky, tongue-in-cheek responses to issues.

For instance, this is what they had to say about breastfeeding in their cafe, as stated in their menu:

Contrary to popular belief, breastfeeding is allowed in our café. There is a corkage charge payable of €5 for one breast or a special deal of €7.50 for two. You can’t be bringing in your own milk when we have perfectly good milk here for sale.

    And their food being cooked-to-order:

All our food is cooked to order. This can take time. If you want fast food, there’s a McDonalds in Phibsborough village. I wouldn’t advise going there as you may be eaten alive by some local zombies.

    People supportive of new policy

Following the “screaming child tax” announcement, however, several commenters expressed their support for this move:

One person had a perfectly legit question, though:

    Here is their Facebook post:

  • 90 Percent of Republicans Still Think Trump Is Doing a Great Job

90 Percent of Republicans Still Think Trump Is Doing a Great Job

For people who really believed President Donald Trump could be toppled by a significant primary challenge in the 2020 election, a new poll from NBC News and the Wall Street Journal should set them straight: 90 percent of Republicans polled think Trump is doing a great job as president.

The poll, conducted after the April 18 release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian meddling in the 2016 election, suggests that the report hasn’t changed many minds about the president. Less than a third of the respondents believed the Mueller report exonerated Trump from charges that his campaign colluded with the Russians to influence the outcome of the race against Hillary Clinton. But views on the report continue to filter through a hyperpartisan lens: nearly 70 percent of Democrats think the report failed to clear the president of wrongdoing, while only 11 percent of Republicans see it that way. These numbers have been pretty consistent for the past year, according to NBC, even though Trump’s signature domestic achievement, his massive tax cut bill, remains highly unpopular. The poll shows that the tax cut is even less popular with voters than Obamacare, which had an approval rating above 40 percent, compared with only 27 percent for the tax cut.

Trump’s popularity among Republicans probably helps explain why poll respondents from both parties were pretty lukewarm about the prospect of impeachment proceedings. Only 30 percent of Democrats thought Congress should start the impeachment now, with most preferring to see more investigation into the Trump campaign’s involvement with the Russians. The new poll suggests that public opinion on the Russia question isn’t likely to change much going forward, even if Mueller himself finally does speak publicly about his investigation. A member of the House Judiciary Committee announced Sunday that Mueller has been invited to appear before it on May 15, but so far the date hasn’t been confirmed.

Trump, for his part, sees no need for Mueller to testify:

….to testify. Are they looking for a redo because they hated seeing the strong NO COLLUSION conclusion? There was no crime, except on the other side (incredibly not covered in the Report), and NO OBSTRUCTION. Bob Mueller should not testify. No redos for the Dems!

How to Harvest Basil for Strong and Productive Plants! | The Creek Line House

Whether it’s fresh from the garden or in a flower pot on the counter, the taste and smell of basil is always warm and welcoming.  However, keeping your plant looking healthy can be a challenge when you’re always picking at its leaves.  Here’s how to harvest basil and still leave your plant healthy and productive.Whether it's fresh from the garden or in a flower pot on the counter, the taste and smell of basil is always warm and welcoming.  However, keeping your plant looking healthy can be a challenge when you're always picking at it's leaves.  Here's how to harvest basil and still leave your plant healthy and productive.

If you’re new to the world of growing basil, you might not be too sure if you know how to harvest basil the right way.   You may tend to feel like you’re kind of injuring your plant a little each time you harvest a few amazingly aromatic leaves from it.  You may only decide to harvest sparingly and try to let your plant grow as big, tall, and strong as possible for as long as possible, only to find that it eventually shoots off flowers and dies, or just fizzles out and shrivels up. What’s up with that?

Well, the truth is, that basil plants actually do better the more that you harvest their leaves. So trimming and pinching off a few, or many, leaves here and there will only reward you with more and more, and will keep your plant healthy and thriving as well.

Don’t just go plucking the leaves willy-nilly though! Let me show you just how to do your little basil harvest so you get the best results!

    How to Harvest Basil

OK, so start off with a healthy, bushy basil plant that really looks like it’s just dying to be eaten.

Yum yum yum! I just can’t get enough fresh basil in my life, especially during the summer months! I was in the mood for that fresh garden flavor the other day, but unfortunately our garden is nowhere near ready for harvesting, so I grabbed this little plant from the produce section of my grocery store. It’s been quite happy next to my kitchen window!

The key with basil plants is that you want to encourage them to be low and bushy rather than tall and spindly, but they have a tendency to get tall and spindly if you just leave them to grow without any kind of pruning or harvesting.

    Get to Know Your Plant

You can see my plant had a few shoots that were growing straight up and getting pretty skinny and lacking in the leaf department.

When you see your plant looking like this, you want to start harvesting from the top down, rather than just plucking the biggest leaves from around the perimeter of the plant. Just go ahead and harvest a whole basil branch at a time, stem and all! Just make sure you leave a couple of inches of steam at the bottom of the plant and always snip the stem about a 1/4 inch above a node, which is the place where a set of leaves or stems meet up with the main stem.

Once you’ve done all your stem-snipping, go ahead and pinch  off any really big leaves that are remaining on the plant, those are ready to eat too!

Here’s how my plant looked after I was done harvesting.

You can see that a good 2/3 of the bulk of the plant is gone, but there are still plenty of little baby leaves left to grow. Give your plant a good drink of water at this point and let it get back to growing!

    Let it Grow

It’s only been a few days since my harvest, but already I can see the new leaves growing quite a bit and really enjoying all the extra energy they have available to them now that all of the bigger leaves are gone. Within a couple of weeks, I’ll be ready for another big basil harvest!

So that’s all it takes to be able to enjoy fresh basil off of a single plant all year long!  Now you can feel confident you know how to harvest basil and still have a healthy, productive plant.

Do you have any clever basil-growing tips that I need to know about before we really get deep into the summertime basil season?

The real-life Jaws: Cage diver captures terrifying image of a great white shark heading for the surface – just like the famous poster for Spielberg’s 1975 classic

A British cage diver has captured a terrifying image of a great white shark heading for the surface – just like the famous poster for Jaws.

The 17ft predator, caught on camera off the west coast of Mexico, shows off its menacing set of jagged teeth as it swims overhead in the photo.

The image has a striking resemblance to the poster used for Steven Spielberg’s 1975 horror classic, which shows a shark rocketing from the deep towards an unsuspecting female swimmer.

Fortunately, unlike Roger Kastel’s poster, there were no swimmers in sight when British photographer and filmmaker Euan Rannachan captured the picture.

‘God Has Not Given Us a Spirit of Fear’: Bieber Urges Fans to Turn to Jesus When Battling Anxiety

Justin Bieber is opening up to fans about his battle with anxiety and how he relies on God to cope.  “Don’t stop fighting – the battle has already won,” he wrote in a heartfelt message on Instagram Thursday.  “Fight for what you love and who you love don’t let fear and anxiety win…God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power love and of a sound mind!” Bieber said, quoting 2 Timothy 1:7.  Although the pop star has been very open about his faith in Christ, he says he still struggles with his identity as a child of God.  He recently reached out publicly for prayer, admitting his struggle with depression in the aftermath of years of wild living. But he told fans a few weeks ago that “God is faithful and UR prayers really work.”  Now he’s continuing that conversation on Instagram saying, “I haven’t believed the truth about myself – I haven’t believed I am loved – I haven’t believed I am forgiven it’s a hard thing for me to wrap my head around. I hang my head in shame and I wallow in sadness about the people who have betrayed me.”

Then he put the focus on Jesus.  “Jesus has given me freedom and the pursuit of getting to know his character is never ending. God’s character never changes – he is the same yesterday now and forever. He is always good! I won’t be afraid to be vulnerable before him.. his power is made strong in our weakness. God isn’t afraid of your pain and your brokenness he actually welcomes it. Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest! these are words from Jesus!”  He encouraged others to put their trust in Jesus as well.  “There is hope and it’s in him!! He loves and cares for you! For God so loved the world that he gave his only son so that whoever believes him won’t die but have eternal life! You are that whoever and he accepts you as you are!! He loves and forgives you and welcomes you into his arms every time you mess. He is a perfect and loving God who adores you!”  Bieber regularly uses his huge social media platform to share the gospel message with his more than 100 million followers.  He recently married model Hailey Baldwin, who told Vogue magazine in 2016 that she believes God has given her fame to “not be quiet about Him, but to reach people and inspire people.”

  • BONOKOSKI: Trudeau’s Canada, where almost half of us are $200 from bankruptcy

BONOKOSKI: Trudeau’s Canada, where almost half of us are $200 from bankruptcy

When almost 50% of Canadians were figuratively wearing Depends on Wednesday, praying that Bank of Canada Governor Stephen Poloz would not inflict them with a raised interest rate, it speaks to very scary times.

It speaks to the undeniable fact that the Trudeau Liberals and our nation’s economy are total strangers.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is all about image wrapped in purple prose, international trips and enviro-lecturing, feminism and gender equality (now questioned), and bad-rash scandals like SNC-Lavalin.

Unlike his predecessor, Stephen Harper, he is not an economist.

He’s a snowboard instructor and a geography teacher, and it is getting more obvious by the minute as October’s federal election looms large.

In the 2015 federal election campaign, the Conservatives accused Trudeau of “not being ready” to lead our country.

    They were not wrong.

Canadians who were sitting on the edge of their seats Wednesday got their prayers answered by Poloz when word went out that the Bank of Canada had abandoned its warning that future interest-rate hikes would likely be unavoidable, and held its benchmark overnight rate steady at 1.75%.

But it is bad out there, really bad.

As Bloomberg reported Monday, an Ipso survey commissioned by the insolvency firm, MNP Ltd., said the number of Canadians only $200 away from financial bankruptcy rose this year to 48%.

Not $2,000 away, which is bad enough, but $200 away.

The reason Poloz gave for holding the interest rate steady, and having half of the population sighing in relief, was slower than expected global growth as well as a sluggish housing and oil sectors in Canada that saw the economy with all its feet on the brakes over the last six months.

When it comes to those who are $200 shy of insolvency, MNP president Grant Bazian stated that “Canadians appear to be maxed out with no real plan for paying back what they have borrowed.

“This raises many alarming questions about how and if consumer debt will be repaid, particularly if conditions deteriorate or interest rates rise.”

    But it gets even scarier.

Despite the economic downturn—and there was nothing in Finance Minister Bill Morneau’s recent budget to turn on the “sunny ways” lamp and light the way to prosperity—Canadians continue to add to their already over-stressed debt load.

The MNP survey, in fact, had four out of 10 respondents stating they will be unable to cover off their living and family expenses over the next 12 months without taking on even more debt.

“This isn’t simply a matter of people living beyond their means,” said Bazian. “The reality is that too many households simply can’t make ends meet, no matter how they try.”

The loudest cries, unsurprisingly, come from Albertans who, because of low oil prices forced upon them for the lack of Trans Mountain pipeline, get little thought and no action from the Trudeau Liberals.

Bankruptcies in Alberta, in fact, led the way in Canada, up 21% in 2018 over the year before because there remains no pipeline to get the oilsands to the tidewater of British Columbia, and on to more lucrative markets overseas.

This is what happens when the federal government that could bring them and the country better financial fortunes—i.e. the Trudeau Liberals—is best described as an “ineptocracy.”

It’s a word that defines itself.

  • Why you should turn your lawn into a meadow | Life and style | The Guardian

Why you should turn your lawn into a meadow | Life and style | The Guardian

My garden sings its own song. It starts after the dawn chorus with the honeybees, followed by the heavier buzz of the bumbles, punctuated by the hoverflies’ higher pitch. You can even sometimes hear the rustle and creak of beetles as evening comes. To lie among it, eyes closed, is to hear something exquisite.

My garden sings this song because it is allowed to. I have long been a proponent of neglecting lawns to nurture nature, as Margaret Renkl recently made the case for in the New York Times – and there isn’t a manicured strip of green that doesn’t ache to do the same.

Most lawns have been silenced by the regime of a lawnmower, leaving just a few species of grass. They are biodiversity deserts, barren of beetle and bee, contributing to a vanishing insect population – and worse still, we pursue this. There are aisles in garden centres promising ever-greener sward, with no moss and weeds. Let there be no misunderstanding: these are chemicals that silence the soil.

There is another way. Your lawn is already a wildflower meadow – every inch of soil is waiting for its moment to burst forth. Those weeds are some of the best insect food, growing despite the weather, endlessly repeat blooming, rich in nectar and pollen. A seed bank is already there – it might even contain orchids. Oh, and perhaps plenty of moss, essential stuff for nests and nature of all sorts.

The simplest route to this is not to abandon your lawn and mower but to learn how to move the mower’s blades up, so the cut is higher than 10cm. Hold out for your first cut until the end of June, then leave a month between each cut until autumn. If you need a route to the washing line or shed, mow just a path. The wildflowers will adapt and bloom under your blades, the bees will dance and the birds will sing in praise of it all.

Brain functions to help improve our body (updated)

    By

When you play with the brain in a mindful way, the body can get a boost.

Targeting the brain’s sensory-motor cortex can help relieve stiffness, stress, ease pain, and improve the body and mind.

The brain’s motor cortex sits atop the brain adjacent to the sensory cortex.

The motor part is where you can “turn on” the motor of movement. The sensory part lets you perceive or feel a variety of sensations or feelings about the quality of movement itself.

This feedback loop of information can help you in effect, move well and be freer to move around.

This little guy is called the homonculus, the little man.

This represents how our body parts are reflected in the brain in terms of how we use them and sense them.

As you can see from this representation:

The hands and mouth have the largest areas in terms of how we sense ourself.

In order to help both the brain and body as you age, you can zero in on your sensory-motor cortex so both a movement in and of itself and the quality of how you move your body is addressed by paying attention to the information you can perceive or feel.

Plus, you can do this in a playful type of manner without a lot of hard work.

You see, the brain functions better with a variety of movements which opens up the possibilities of new neural connections since the brain itself can be changed, formed, and reformed.

    Brain Exercises

Normally, we think of brain exercises like doing a crossword puzzle or doing some type of cognitive training. Any number of ways can sharpen us mentally such as learning to play an instrument, trying new recipes and good old fashioned doing math in your head.

Regular exercise itself, is good in general, and can help the brain too.

The brain thrives on novelty and our 600 muscles and 17 layers of muscles and fascia (which surround the muscles) can be used in a unique un-exercise approach by focusing our awareness on the conscious nature of movement itself.

This wakes up the brain and body since we can tap into the flow of information in our nervous system.

This non-traditional approach can augment any traditional type of exercise and can actually let us exercise pain free or be able to do the necessary movements you engage in with less tension and a different felt sense of ability.

    Less Tension

The brain can be used to lessen tension through a natural process of updating our movement software.

When we have less tension or when we can sustain more neutral levels of tension, then we can move easily and agilely over the long run.

So when our brain gets challenged with paying attention, our body can actually feel the difference. Even when small, easy, gentle micro-movements are used to help set up or be the foundation for the moveable building blocks of overall coordination of movement.

    Slow movements help brain functions

Watching someone do small movements, is similar to watching grass grow.

We might think not a lot can be accomplished by little or slow movement.

When you shift upstairs to target your motor cortex and do conscious specific types of movements slowly, gently and with as much awareness as possible – the brain can help the body make a number of changes.

A slow movement practice is about how you pay attention to a number of areas of the body.

The conscious application of movement done slowly forms the system of somatics exercises which is essentially brain based.

9 Advantages of a Brain Based Practice

1 – Pain Relief Using the Brain

Since the brain thrives on novelty, the brain and body can be used in unique ways to affect the flow of information in the nervous system.

This is set up with simple movements that can be done in a lazy, gentle manner where the mind is highly engaged.

One of the brain functions of the motor cortex is that it can reset the resting levels of the muscles. The muscles are left more relaxed.

As the muscles become more relaxed, the brain creates more feelings of relaxation and pleasure.

    2 – Improved Memory

    Movement is memory.

The lower part of the brain, the cerebellum remembers much like a programmed computer program which does our quick, fast movements. We don’t have to think about it, we get up and go.

Using the brain’s motor cortex allows us to change the program by noticing what is happening in our overall quality of movement as well as the actual movement.

By improving the quality of how well we can move at any age, the brain functions at a higher level since the brain’s software is getting updated. This helps us remember and experience our former youthful movement.

    3 – Gain Strength

Normally we exercise our muscles to get stronger.

Strength is also resiliency and flexibility.

So rather then a brawn approach, you can use the brain to lose excessive or amped up tension and stress.

Our body becomes more balanced. We remain strong like animals in the wild who reset their muscles naturally since the slow movements are done along certain chains of connections which help us move more effectively.

    4 – Posture Changes

    We can change our shape.

By losing compensations such as a curved spine which has our belly hanging over or the reverse when we’re too slumped.

Our new appearance results from letting go of the tension which held us in place by the lower brain and its programmed ways.

Change Posture, Gain Strength, Improve Memory and Find Pain Relief – the Easy, Brain Way

When the brain remembers to reset to neutral, the brain functions much better and now we appear more easily upright and relaxed.

    5 – Natural Stress Alleviation

The brain can create powerful chemicals of relaxation.

Healthy animals with a spine tap into this natural source.

They do this through the act of pandiculation as they target the brain and body.

You can zone in on the brain in a similar conscious manner to create natural chemicals of relaxation so you’re left feeling content, relaxed and in control.

    6 – Regain Natural Flexibility

Regaining flexibility is not about getting longer or going for range of motion.

Simply being able to squat is one thing, getting up is another.

When we let go of the binds of stress, tension and long held-injuries and compensations, the body knows where to reset to neutral so it can in effect move easy and be in comfortable positions.

You can move more freely and naturally by reprogramming the brain so a natural flexibility can be easily maintained.

7 – Improve the Immune System

When we’re constantly triggering flight or fight response in our busy lives, we’re not giving our self the chance to calm things down.

Resetting our brain and body so we can ramp it up and then back it down, allows us to live more easily with a nervous system which can be reset so our immune system is less burdened as the inflammatory response is cooled down.

This allows more good feelings to flow through us so it can aid in healing, for instance.

    8 – Sleep Better

Tuning down tension levels using the brain relaxes our body.

The body and brain functions much better when we can rest easy so our tissues can repair.

Resting easy happens when we feel calmer and can let go of the body and the mind.

9 – Greater Sense of Peace and Tranquility

When you use the brain to reset the entire body system of movement, you can move with greater ease and comfort like any other healthy vertebrate animal.

As our earlier sense of freedom returns, movement can nurture us towards more tranquil states.

This also brings us a vibrant sense of confidence to move, relax and have a calm mind.

As you use the brain and target certain functions, you can return again and again to levels of comfort where you can fully understand or appreciate the mind and body connection.

    Better brain functions

When we go back to the well of movement itself and harness the power of the brain to tap into our very awareness.

The brain’s intelligence is aroused (with a little practice) so you end up with a better brain and body.

When you reset yourself with a certain level of conscious awareness, the brain functions at levels which may continue to delightfully surprise you as you age.
