  • Selena Gomez Wore Baby Blue Sweats While Out at Lunch in L.A.

Selena Gomez Wore Baby Blue Sweats While Out at Lunch in L.A.

Selena Gomez is back from the red carpet in Cannes and into a pair of casual baby blue sweats in L.A. The singer/actress was photographed lunching with friends wearing a matching sweat set by Essentials while she smiled and chatted with her lunch companions.

Gomez is currently reigning as the queen of comfy clothes. While arriving in the south of France last week, Gomez looked extra snug in a tan cardigan with white flowing trousers. A few days later she prepared to leave the country via helicopter in a simple white tank top and jeans.

Of course, Gomez knows how to hit peak glam. For the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, she wore a white corset top and long skirt by Louis Vuitton while dripping in Bulgari diamonds. It was Gomez’s debut at the luxurious festival, as she was there to promote her new film The Dead Don’t Die.

The soft spoken star recently opened up for the first time this year on the Dream It Real podcast, where she discussed how she’s managed to stay authentic despite the glamorous red carpets and her 151 million Instagram followers.

“I think there came a point in my life where I just started not to care….Obviously my situation is different and very weird but when I was younger, I was exposed to all of this [fame]. It was just all these pictures and all the things and all I would do is look at the flaws,” she said. “And I think that you kind of create this other persona of yourself and then when I started going through real, really difficult things, it [not caring and ultimately being authentic] just allowed me to have worth, to know that I’m worthy and that I am who I am. And who is that? And do I like that person? I think that it’s important for me. I don’t want to be anything that’s a show or a persona. I just don’t.”

  • Taylor Swift Shuts Down Interviewer Who Asks If She Wants Children | toofab.com

Taylor Swift Shuts Down Interviewer Who Asks If She Wants Children | toofab.com

Taylor Swift doesn’t have time for sexist questions, and the 29-year-old superstar didn’t hesitate to shut down an interviewer who went there.

It’s the single-woman equivalent of asking a mother if it’s difficult juggling her career with having children, and Swift called it out immediately. The question came during a German interview posted to RTL when the “ME” singer was asked about turning 30 this year.

“Is this kind of a turning point in your life,” she was asked. “Would you like to be a mother someday, have children?”

Swift rightfully shut the question down, recognizing it for what it is. “I really don’t think men are asked that question when they turn 30,” she shot back. “So I’m not going to answer that now.”

The pop star remained courteous, though. Even though she did not answer that question, she did talk about her feelings in general about moving into the third decade of her life.

“I hear others say when you’re in your thirties there isn’t as much stress and anxiety in life as in your twenties,” she continued. “And I can relate to the observation that we are in our twenties looking to gain experience, try things out, fail, make mistakes.”

Swift promised that she definitely plans to continue trying and failing at things into her thirties, but is looking forward to being a little more confident in who she is. “The closer I get to it, the more I feel it happen,” she said. “Hopefully that will be the case!”

Taylor Swift turns 30 on December 13. She is currently dating Joe Alwyn, but is remarkably private about her personal life — inasmuch as she can be. It’s unclear when the couple first started dating, and obviously there is no word on if or when the couple might consider having children.

If she does reach that point, though, he fans can likely expect a lot of cryptic clues about it through her social media channels. She’d also probably talk about it there first, over an interview, anyway (though she would drop more clues). Swift is very connected with her fans, who are currently far more interested in details about her forthcoming studio album.

The singer blew away her fans by dropping the lead single from the album, “ME,” complete with a candy-colored music video featuring collaborator and Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie.

No word on a title or release date for #TS7 just yet, though Swifities are looking to an interview with The Independent where Swift said the title was seen once and heard twice, leading them to believe it will be called “Lover.”

Someone Compared ‘Game Of Thrones’ To ‘Shrek’ In 17 Scenes And The Similarities Are Incredible

Game of Thrones’ showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff had a difficult task ahead of them after the end of the fifth season – invent new plots without the carefully crafted and detailed guide of George R.R Martin’s books. Unfortunately, this led to a season finale that left much to be desired, but the author revealed his ending in his much anticipated next novel would differ from the show.

So if Weiss and Benioff didn’t have the books to rely on for inspiration then how did they come up with seasons 6 – 8? One Twitter user posted a thread that compares GOT with the beloved animated classic Shrek – and the similarities are almost too coincidental.

  • Asian and Asian American heroes to power new Marvel comics series

Asian and Asian American heroes to power new Marvel comics series

Marvel Comics is giving ink to an unprecedented team-up of its mightiest Asian and Asian American heroes, also known as the new Agents of Atlas. Established icons like martial arts master Shang-Chi and newbies like Wave, the newest Filipino superhero, will team up in a stand-alone, five-part comic book series starting this summer, the publishing giant told The Associated Press Thursday.

The roster of 10 super-powered pan-Asian champions made their debut as a team earlier this month in “The War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas.” That comic book is one piece of an ongoing saga involving several different groups across the Marvel universe, including the Avengers, doing battle with a fire goddess. But the exclusively Asian limited series is set to roll out in August.

The man leading the heroic charge is veteran comic book writer Greg Pak. Pak is credited with ushering in a new era of Asian characters in co-creating Amadeus Cho, a Korean American genius teen. The character first appeared in 2005. A decade later, he absorbed the Hulk‘s powers and started going by Brawn.

“It’s always been my dream to do a team book using a bunch of Asian and Asian American heroes,” said Pak, who thinks there’s more appetite for representation with the success of the movie “Crazy Rich Asians.” ”There’s literally never been a better time in my memory with more opportunities for doing work that specifically includes Asian and Asian American characters.”

  • Jim Carrey’s Abortion Art

    Jim Carrey’s Abortion Art

Who are we killing and why?  Is that what we have become?  Maybe abortion should apply to all of us.  If you do not like someone or have no need of them, just abort them.  Things that make you go, hummm.

In a recent tweet, actor Jim Carrey shared an image to his followers showing the head of Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey being sucked up into a tube as a gloved hand holds the tube to her head.

“I think if you’re going to terminate a pregnancy, it should be done sometime before the fetus becomes Governor of Alabama,” Carrey wrote.

The actor’s tweet targeted the strict abortion ban that was passed by The Yellowhammer State and signed into law by Ivey.

Shortly after Carrey posted the image, it backfired.  Members of the pro-life community congratulated the actor for accidentally arguing that abortion involves killing a human being.

In a Facebook post, Franklin Graham wondered why Twitter didn’t have a problem with Carrey’s obviously threatening message.

“That’s sick,” the evangelist wrote. “Did you see Jim Carrey’s tweet with his drawing showing AL Gov. Kay Ivey being “aborted”—sucked apart by an abortionist? Well it just shows that Jim Carrey and others do know beyond any doubt that abortion is the taking of another person’s life—murder. Wonder why Twitter doesn’t have a problem with Jim Carrey’s threatening message of hate?”

Graham’s post has drawn more than 33,000 views

Ben Shapiro, founder, and editor of the Daily Wire pointed out that the image was graphic, but that it pointed out what a real abortion looks like.

“This is a pretty great depiction of an abortion: clinically accurate, and wiping out an individual human life,” Shapiro wrote in a tweet.

Lila Rose, the founder of Live Action a pro-life organization, also chimed in, pointing out the hypocrisy of Twitter.

“The extreme double standard of Jack & Twitter on full, gross display here,” she said pointing at Twitter’s founder Jack Dorsey.

“Jim Carrey publicly wishes death on someone and posts a gory photo of them being killed. He explicitly promotes a very violence that kills almost 1M people a year in the United States. & zero response,” Rose wrote.

New Ghostbusters film favoring practical effects over CGI

Dan Aykroyd dropped another nugget of info regarding the upcoming Ghostbusters sequel that is guaranteed to delight fans the world over. In a recent interview with 660 News (via JoBlo) the actor revealed that the crew of the new film is keen to use practical effects over CGI whenever possible.

“I’m always urging to use puppets,” Aykroyd said. “I’m always urging to go back to the mechanicals. But CGI is so efficient and easy to use but I think that all of us are on board with the idea of maybe doing mechanicals and puppets where we can.”

The cast for the currently-untitled new Ghostbusters movie includes Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things, IT), Mckenna Grace (Annabelle Comes Home, Captain Marvel) and Carrie Coon (Fargo, Avengers: Infinity War, Gone Girl).

Jason Reitman will direct the upcoming Ghostbusters threequel, taking up the mantle from his father Ivan Reitman who directed the original Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters 2 (1989). Jason also had a memorable cameo in the second film. Reitman will be co-writing the script with Gil Kenan (Monster HousePoltergeist), who is no stranger to ghost stories.

  • NFL Star Benjamin Watson Blasts Alyssa Milano Over Abortion, Milano Responds With ‘Open’ Heart

NFL Star Benjamin Watson Blasts Alyssa Milano Over Abortion, Milano Responds With ‘Open’ Heart

NFL star, father of seven, and vocal pro-life activist Benjamin Watson called out actress Alyssa Milano for suggesting that Georgia’s new heartbeat abortion ban will hurt black women in America.

Milano, who is urging celebrities to boycott Georgia over the pro-life law, appeared on CNN last week to explain why she believes the law “will affect the communities of color more than anything.”

“I feel like any woman of privilege that lives in one of these states — if this goes through — they’re gonna be able to travel to a state to get a safe reproductive health care,” she told Chris Cuomo. “But for the women of color, for the women that are marginalized, for the women that are low-income communities, for the women that are most at-risk, this bill will be catastrophic.”

  • Ariana Grande sued for posting photo of herself

Ariana Grande sued for posting photo of herself

    Oops.

    Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande is reportedly being sued by a photographer after the pop giant posted a photo he had taken of her.

The singer faces legal action from paparazzo Robert Barbera, who alleges that she violated copyright law by posting two pictures of herself on social media. The photos, who Barbera took in 2018, show the singer walking out of a building while holding a bag sporting the name of her ‘Sweetener’ album. Grande posted the pictures on Instagram and Twitter last August to coincide with the record’s release.

While Barbera’s original lawsuit focused on the copyright violation, he is also suing her for damages amounting to either $25,000 (£20,000) or all the profits Grande earned from the photos – which means that he could potentially in a cut of the album’s first-day sales.

    Ariana Grande

    Ariana Grande

The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, states: ““[Grande] infringed [Barbera’s] copyright in the Photographs by reproducing and publicly displaying the Photographs on the Instagram Page… [Grande] is not, and has never been, licensed or otherwise authorized to reproduce, publically display, distribute and/or use the Photographs.”

The legal challenge comes only months after Grande kicked off her massive ‘Sweetener’ world tour – which arrives in Europe this summer.

Reviewing her stop-off at Los Angeles’ Staples Center earlier this month, NME wrote: “The ‘Sweetener’ world tour might be mostly similar to the singer’s Coachella set but, with the luxury of more time and control, it does a better job at charting the evolution of one of pop’s brightest stars.”
