The ex-cybernetics engineer contends we will be able to insert chosen DNA into an egg to modify attributes including athleticism and good looks. But astonishingly, he theorized that celebrity DNA may be bought for parents to tailor the looks of their own offspring. This would mean parents could attempt to give their son the hunky facial features of actor Ryan Gosling, or the spellbinding beauty of pop singer Beyonce. “It’s unlikely that governments will allow trading in celeb DNA or even customised DNA for your own kids, but given how society’s values change, who knows?” In a blog post titled The Future of Reproductive Choice on his site Futurizon, he added: “We would almost certainly be able to simply assemble any chosen DNA and insert it into an egg from which the DNA has been removed. “That would seem a more reliable mechanism to get the ‘perfect’ baby than choosing from a long list of imperfect ones. Active assembly should beat deselection from a random list. “Even today, couples can store eggs and sperm for later use, but with this future genetic assembly, it will become feasible to create offspring from nothing more than a DNA listing. “DNA from both members of a couple, of any sex, could get a record of their DNA, randomise combinations with their partner’s DNA and thus get a massive library of potential offspring.

Duchess Kate Sparkles in White Gown and Tiara at State Banquet Honoring President Trump
President Donald Trump’s visit to the U.K. may have kicked off with seemingly limitless controversy (he called Duchess Meghan ‘nasty’ and described London mayor Sadiq Khan a ‘stone cold loser’) but that didn’t stop the royal family from pulling out all the stops at this evening’s state banquet at Buckingham Palace.
The president was hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at the glittering event after arriving in London earlier today. A state banquet is pretty standard for such high-profile visits, but the traditional procession in a gold carriage was impossible due to security concerns—the president’s visit has been met with widespread, ferocious protests.
Although Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan kept their distance from the banquet, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended in their evening splendor.
Duchess Kate was regal in a foamy, layered white gown by Alexander McQueen which she accessorized with the tiara she wears most often to these events: the Cambridge Lover’s Knot, which was Princess Diana’s favorite tiara.
The tiara features a series of 19 diamond-encrusted arches, each of which encloses a hanging pearl.
The duchess also wore a curious little pearl of fringed sapphire and diamond earrings that have an Art Deco-vibe. They previously belonged to Queen Elizabeth (a.k.a. the Queen Mother.)
Tonight also marks the first time that we’ve seen Kate wearing the royal blue sash that marks her as a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order—a title bestowed on her by the queen on the eighth anniversary of her wedding to Prince William. It’s one of the highest possible honors a member of the royal family can receive.
At the time, a royal expert told Vanity Fair that the honor was “the queen’s way of acknowledging eight successful years of marriage and also the fact that the duchess has produced three heirs, thereby securing the lineage of the House of Windsor.”
Duchess Kate accompanied Steve Mnuchin, the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, into the banqueting hall.
The queen also wore a white gown, as well as the opulent Burmese ruby and diamond tiara, which she paired with Queen Victoria’s Crown Ruby Earrings and Necklace (if we’re honest, all that metalware looks pretty heavy to be hanging off a 93-year-old woman.)
President Trump’s wife Melania and his children Ivanka, Donald Trump Jr., Eric, and Tiffany were all guests and the banquet.

This Morning viewers slam fashion host for ‘disrespectful’ joke about woman’s dead husband | Entertainment Daily
This Morning viewers were unimpressed by Hayley Hasselhoff’s comment to a widow during the fashion segment today.
Hayley, the daughter of David Hasselhoff, was hosting the fashion segment about undergarments that will cover and shape your body.
Noreen appeared on the show to gain some self-confidence back after having a difficult time following a mastectomy after a breast cancer diagnoses and losing her husband.

Noreen modelled a £20 Debenhams waist cincher and John Lewis bra as Hayley gushed over how great she looked.
Hayley told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “You guys Noreen has been through a really hard past couple of years.
“Not only has she had a part mastectomy from breast cancer but she’s lost her husband.”
Holly said: “I’m really sorry to hear that.”
As she went on to explain Noreen’s shape wear, Hayley said: “We are here today to try and find you that self-confidence and love your body again. Do you feel great?”
Viewers weren’t happy with Hayley’s comment to Naureen (Credit: ITV)
Noreen replied: “I do. I feel great,” to which Hayley said: “I know you feel a bit shaken up. But let’s applaud you for being here today.”
Hayley then said: “Can we please talk about how great your bosoms look though. Your hubby up there is looking down saying ‘why am I not here today?’ Look at these bosoms!”
Phil then walked over and hugged Noreen before she left the stage.
Viewers were stunned by Hayley’s comment and shared their thoughts on Twitter.
One person said: “#ThisMorning that poor woman looked so close to a breakdown. Who let that woman continue to remind her on live TV that her husband isn’t here.”
Another wrote: “Her husband is looking down and thinking wow why am I not here today? I doubt he chose to die Hayley.. also way to remind her that her husband is dead #thismorning.”
A third added: “Talking about that lady’s husband like that… wasn’t awkward at all.”
A fourth ranted: “#thismorning – did that underwear woman just say to one of the women she had great boobs and she bets her dead husband is looking down and wishing he was down here???
“How totally insensitive! If a man had said that to a woman I’m sure there would be hell to pay!”

Artist, Icon, Billionaire: How Jay-Z Created His $1 Billion Fortune
One, Warren Buffett, was a regular there. The other, Jay-Z, was not. The billionaire and the rapper ordered strawberry malts and chatted amiably, continuing the conversation back at Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway offices.
Buffett, then 80, walked away impressed with the artist 40 years his junior: “Jay is teaching in a lot bigger classroom than I’ll ever teach in. For a young person growing up, he’s the guy to learn from.” This moment, which was originally captured in our 2010 Forbes 400 package, made it clear that Jay-Z already had a blueprint for his own ten-figure fortune. “Hip-hop from the beginning has always been aspirational,” he said.
Less than a decade later, it’s clear that Jay-Z has accumulated a fortune that conservatively totals $1 billion, making him one of only a handful of entertainers to become a billionaire—and the first hip-hop artist to do so. Jay-Z’s steadily growing kingdom is expansive, encompassing liquor, art, real estate (homes in Los Angeles, the Hamptons, Tribeca) and stakes in companies like Uber.
His journey is all the more impressive given its start: Brooklyn’s notorious Marcy housing projects. He was a drug dealer before becoming a musician, starting his own label, Roc-A-Fella Records, to release his 1996 debut, Reasonable Doubt. Since then he’s amassed 14 No. 1 albums, 22 Grammy awards and over $500 million in pretax earnings in a decade.
Crucially, he realized that he should build his own brands rather than promote someone else’s: the clothing line Rocawear, started in 1999 (soldfor $204 million to Iconix in 2007); D’Ussé, a cognac he co-owns with Bacardi; and Tidal, a music-streaming service.
Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean, the super producer behind some of Jay-Z’s biggest hits (“On To The Next One,” Beyoncé’s “Upgrade U”), looks at Jay-Z as something others can model: “It’s bigger than hip-hop … it’s the blueprint for our culture. A guy that looks like us, sounds like us, loves us, made it to something that we always felt that was above us.”
What’s Jay-Z Worth?
To calculate his net worth, we looked at the artist’s stakes in companies like Armand de Brignac champagne, applying our customary discount to private firms. (He owns 100% of Armand de Brignac and has partial ownership of the other companies.) Then added up his income, subtracting a healthy amount to account for a superstar lifestyle. We checked our numbers with a roster of outside experts to ensure these estimates were fair and conservative. Turns out, Jay-Z really is a business, man.

Naomi Scott Says Her Christian Faith Is ‘Part of Who I Am’
Naomi Scott, who plays Princess Jasmine in the new live-action remake of the Disney classic “Aladdin,” said this month she doesn’t know how she would be able to navigate the ups and downs of life without her Christian faith.
During an interview with Compassion, for which she serves as a U.K. ambassador, Scott said her faith has given her a “peace” that keeps her “incredibly grounded, incredibly focused.”
“Quite honestly, I don’t see it as this separate thing, this add on thing,” she said, noting she was recently talking with her husband, English soccer player Jordan Spence, about their shared beliefs. “My faith is just a part of who I am and what I do.”
Scott went on to say that, because of her faith in Jesus, she knows she’s not defined by other people’s opinions of her or her work.
Faithwire: Iraqi Minister Says ‘Political Correctness’ Is Advancing Christian Persecution in Middle East
“No matter what somebody says about me on Twitter, whatever the future holds, to know that that doesn’t define me is incredible, to know that doesn’t inform my identity in any way shape or form (although it’s easier said than done sometimes),” she explained. “That’s going to be the thing keeping me going. Keeping the main thing, the main thing throughout.”
As for her role in “Aladdin,” Scott told Compassion she was excited to have the opportunity to play such a “strong” female character in the much-anticipated remake.

Keanu Reeves, “I Don’t Have Anyone In My Life”
At this point, it goes without saying that Keanu Reeves is a good guy. But if you still need proof to believe it, he gave the ancillary profits from The Matrix sequels to the crew which reportedly netted them over US$40 million. Keanu, however, is also a lonely guy. The 54-year-old actor admitted it in an interview with The Jakarta Post.
Obviously, The Matrix means a lot to you. How much like Neo are you?
He’s a better man than me but I try to live up to his values.
Which of his qualities do you particularly admire?
He was a beautiful man to play. I thought his love for Trinity was so pure. I really identified with it. Also, I loved his search for answers. He’s a strong positive, moral, and ethical man, doing the best he can.
What does love mean to you?
You mean romantic love? You know, I’m the lonely guy. I don’t have anyone in my life. But if it does occur, I would respect and love the other person; hopefully, it’ll happen for me.
You describe yourself as a lonely guy. Are you content with that?
I don’t concern myself with it that much. I’m an actor, so in terms of what you’re asking about, I have no answer.

Cathy Chui was Born to Be a Socialite | JayneStars.com
There are girls who dream to marry the elite, and there are girls who are born to become successful.
Cathy Chui (徐子淇) was not born a socialite, but her middle class parents made sure she was well taken care of and successful. Born in Hong Kong, Cathy’s parents saved enough money to send Cathy to the University College London to major in Eastern European studies and economies. Upon her return to Hong Kong, she became a model and was later scouted by director Gordon Chan (陳嘉上) to take part in his film.
Her mother cultivated her to be successful. With her good looks and educated background, Cathy captured the hearts of many rich businessman and 2G heirs, and finally won the heart of Martin Lee (李家誠), the younger son of real estate tycoon Lee Shau-kee (李兆基), in 2006. She was only 24, and Martin was 37.
Eight months after their marriage, Cathy gave birth their first child, daughter Leanne. In 2009, less than two years after Leanne’s birth, Cathy and Martin welcomed their second daughter Hayley. In 2011, their first son Triston was born. In 2015, their fourth child, son Preston, was born in October.
Within an eight year time span, Cathy gave birth to four Lee children. To outsiders, it appeared as if Cathy wanted to secure her position within the Lee household by having more children. But when Martin’s older brother Peter Lee (李家傑), who had been single, surprised his father with three sons, it appeared as if Martin and Cathy’s position in the family was being threatened.
Last week, Lee Shau-kee anounced that he is retiring and stepped down as chairman of Henderson Land Development. His two sons will split over the responsibilities of his business
