(New York City) — Project Veritas has released a new report on Google which includes undercover video of a Senior Google Executive, leaked documents, and testimony from a Google insider.  The report appears to show Google’s plans to affect the outcome of the 2020 elections and “prevent” the next “Trump situation.”

The report includes undercover footage of longtime Google employee and Head of Responsible Innovation, Jen Gennai saying:

“Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google. And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged with preventing the next Trump situation, it’s like a small company cannot do that.”

    Jen Gennai

Said Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe:

“This is the third tech insider who has bravely stepped forward to expose the secrets of Silicon Valley.  These new documents, supported by undercover video, raise questions of Google’s neutrality and the role they see themselves fulfilling in the 2020 elections.”

Jen Gennai is the head of “Responsible Innovation” for Google, a sector that monitors and evaluates the responsible implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.  In the video, Gennai says Google has been working diligently to “prevent” the results of the 2016 election from repeating in 2020:

“We all got screwed over in 2016, again it wasn’t just us, it was, the people got screwed over, the news media got screwed over, like, everybody got screwed over so we’re rapidly been like, what happened there and how do we prevent it from happening again.”

“We’re also training our algorithms, like, if 2016 happened again, would we have, would the outcome be different?”

Google: Artificial Intelligence Is For A “fair and equitable” State

According to the insider, Machine Learning Fairness is one of the many tools Google uses to promote a political agenda.  Documents leaked by a Google informant elaborate on Machine Learning Fairness and the “algorithmic unfairness” that AI product intervention aims to solve:

The insider showed Google search examples that show Machine Learning Fairness in action.

“The reason we launched our A.I. principles is because people were not putting that line in the sand, that they were not saying what’s fair and what’s equitable so we’re like, well we are a big company, we’re going to say it.” – Jen Gennai, Head Of Responsible Innovation, Google

The Google insider explained the impact of artificial intelligence and Machine Learning Fairness:

“They’re going to redefine a reality based on what they think is fair and based upon what they want, and what and is part of their agenda.”

Determining credible news and an editorial agenda. . .

Additional leaked documents detail how Google defines and prioritizes content from different news publishers and how its products feature that content.  One document, called the “Fake News-letter” explains Google’s goal to have a “single point of truth” across their products.

Another document received by Project Veritas explains the “News Ecosystem” which mentions “editorial guidelines” that appear to be determined and administered internally by Google.  These guidelines control how content is distributed and displayed on their site.

    Google Exposed

The leaked documents appear to show that Google makes news decisions about what news they promote and distribute on their site.

Comments made by Gennai raise similar questions.  In a conversation with Veritas journalists, Gennai explains that “conservative sources” and “credible sources” don’t always coincide according to Google’s editorial practices.

“We have gotten accusations of around fairness is that we’re unfair to conservatives because we’re choosing what we find as credible news sources and those sources don’t necessarily overlap with conservative sources …”

The insider shed additional light on how YouTube demotes content from influencers like Dave Rubin and Tim Pool:

“What YouTube did is they changed the results of the recommendation engine. And so what the recommendation engine is it tries to do, is it tries to say, well, if you like A, then you’re probably going to like B. So content that is similar to Dave Rubin or Tim Pool, instead of listing Dave Rubin or Tim Pool as people that you might like, what they’re doing is that they’re trying to suggest different, different news outlets, for example, like CNN, or MSNBC, or these left leaning political outlets.”

Internal Google Document: “People Like Us Are Programmed”

An additional document Project Veritas obtained, titled “Fair is Not the Default” says “People (like us) are programmed” after the results of machine learning fairness.  The document describes how “unconscious bias” and algorithms interact.

    Veritas is the “Only Way”

    Said the insider:

“The reason why I came to Project Veritas is that you’re the only one I trust to be able to be a real investigative journalist.  Investigative journalist is a dead career option, but somehow, you’ve been able to make it work.  And because of that I came to Project Veritas because I knew that this was the only way that this story would be able to get out to the public.”

“I mean, this is a behemoth, this is a Goliath, I am but a David trying to say that the emperor has no clothes. And, um, being a small little ant I can be crushed, and I am aware of that. But, this is something that is bigger than me, this is something that needs to be said to the American public.”

Project Veritas intends to continue investigating abuses in big tech companies and encourages more Silicon Valley insiders to share their stories through their Be Brave campaign.

As of publishing, Google did not respond to Project Veritas’ request for comment.  Additional leaked Google documents can be viewed HERE.

  • Two-thirds of American employees regret their college degrees

Two-thirds of American employees regret their college degrees

    • Two-thirds of employees report regrets about their advanced degrees, as Americans question the high cost of higher education.
    • Student loan debt has ballooned to nearly $1.6 trillion nationwide in 2019, topping the list of regrets for employees.
    • Science, technology, engineering or math majors, who are more likely to enjoy higher salaries, were least likely to report regrets, while those in the humanities were most likely.

A college education is still considered a pathway to higher lifetime earnings and gainful employment for Americans. Nevertheless, two-thirds of employees report having regrets when it comes to their advanced degrees, according to a PayScale survey of 248,000 respondents this past spring that was released Tuesday.

Student loan debt, which has ballooned to nearly $1.6 trillion nationwide in 2019, was the No. 1 regret among workers with college degrees. About 27% of survey respondents listed student loans as their top misgiving, PayScale said.

The findings illustrate why education loans burdening millions of Americans have become a hot-button issue among some Democratic presidential candidates. Most recently, Sen. Bernie Sanders on Monday proposed a plan to impose a tax on Wall Street trading and use the proceeds to erase that $1.6 trillion of debt.

About 70% of college students graduated with student loan debt this year, averaging about $33,000 per student. And as younger grads pay off student loan balances, they’re struggling to accumulate wealth or are putting off purchasing homes — some millennials are even struggling to purchase groceries.

It’s not just millennials. Baby boomers are taking on student loan debt either to help cover college costs for their children or to retrain themselves for a workplace transformed by increased automation, cloud computing and other labor-saving technologies. Some Americans age 62 and older are using their Social Security benefits to pay off more than $86 billion in unpaid college loans.

    Major bummers

College debt was followed by chosen area of study (12%) as a top regret for employees, though this varied greatly by major. Other regrets include poor networking, school choice, too many degrees, time spent completing education and academic underachievement.

Most satisfied: Those with science, technology, engineering and math majors, who are typically more likely to enjoy higher salaries, reported more satisfaction with their college degrees. About 42% of engineering grads and 35% of computer science grads said they had no regrets.

Most regrets: Humanities majors, who are least likely to earn higher pay post-graduation, were most likely to regret their college education. About 75% of humanities majors said they regretted their college education. About 73% of graduates who studied social sciences, physical and life sciences, and art also said the same.

In the middle: In between the other two categories were 66% of business graduates, 67% of health sciences graduates and 68% of math graduates who said they regretted their education.

At least one sector of employment bucked the trend: Teachers and other professionals in education, which isn’t typically a high-paying profession, were the second-least likely, after engineering grads, to have any regrets tied to their major, with 37% saying they had no regrets.

  • Elizabeth Warren Wants to Give $57M in Taxpayer Money as Reparations to LGBT Couples

Elizabeth Warren Wants to Give $57M in Taxpayer Money as Reparations to LGBT Couples

Why is the government so willing to spend tax dollars on issues that are so irrelevant!  Why are they so reactive to just knee jerk on any issue?  What is it that people really want?  Just be treat as a person!  No sex issues, no past history issues, just give equal rights to everyone.  If they wish to reimburse people for past problems, then hey, I have a long list!  So, do a lot of old folks I know!

Last week, Democrats wanted the federal government to pay reparations for slavery. Now, Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) wants to spend taxpayer money to give tax refund reparations to same-sex couples who had to file as individuals before their marriages were recognized by the federal government. Warren has introduced a bill named S.1940, known as the Refund Equality Act, which would force the federal government to pay refunds to homosexual couples that they would have allegedly received before the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage in the case of Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015. “The federal government forced legally married same-sex couples in Massachusetts to file as individuals and pay more in taxes for almost a decade,” Warren tweeted. “We need to call out that discrimination and to make it right — Congress should pass the Refund Equality Act immediately.” According to NBC News, the refunds would amount to more than $57 million.  The Congressional Budget Office has not done a cost estimate on the measure yet, according to the Congress.gov website.

When the Supreme Court repealed a part of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in 2013 during the case of US v. Windsor, it allowed homosexual couples to file joint tax returns. Prior to the high court’s ruling, same-sex couples had to file their tax returns individually. They were also disqualified from any tax benefits given to heterosexual couples. According to CNBC, under current law, you can file an amended return for up to three years from when you originally filed. You also have up to three years from when you filed to claim a refund owed. Warren’s proposed measure would allow same-sex couples to file amended federal tax returns and claim all refunds for all of the years they were legally married in their state before the Supreme Court ruling. The senior senator from Massachusetts first proposed the legislation two years ago, but her idea is getting more attention now that she’s running for president. It’s also getting some fresh support in the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives.

A similar bill (H.R. 3299) was introduced in the House earlier this month by Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA). Tyler O’Neil, senior editor of PJ Media, shared his thoughts on reparations for LGBT couple refunds in an article published to the website on June 23. “Warren’s bill for same-sex marriage reparations is far more straightforward and is limited to couples in states that had legalized same-sex marriage before the federal government did. Even so, it relies on the claim that the federal government’s definition of marriage as between one man and one woman was wrong before 2015. If so, why not extend the reparations back even further?” O’Neil asked. “This bill champions a new grievance. It is not enough that same-sex couples now have the right to marry under federal law. No, they must be retroactively given the right to file taxes according to that theory. If this law passes, what will they demand next? Already, activists and politicians seek to punish Christian artists who refuse to celebrate same-sex marriage or transgender identity. Will the next reparations push demand that these alleged bigots pay LGBT people to balance the cosmic scales of justice?” he continued.

  • Building Homes for Injured Veterans While They Rebuild Their Lives

Building Homes for Injured Veterans While They Rebuild Their Lives

A non-profit charity is helping wounded US veterans start a new chapter in life, building new homes for those who have suffered severe injury during their time in service.

So far, the Homes for Our Troops organization has built 278 homes for injured veterans nationwide, according to the organization’s website.

The charity recently built and gave a new home to one Oklahoma soldier.

KOCO-TV reports Army Specialist Adam Putt was serving as a rifleman with the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry, 3rd Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, when he lost both legs on Aug. 2, 2007, in an improvised explosive device blast.

Putt’s new home contains more than 40 major special adaptations, including widened doorways for wheelchair access, a roll-in shower and kitchen amenities that include pull-down shelving and lowered countertops, according to the charity’s officials.

The home was presented to Putt on Saturday in Newcastle, OK.

“Injured veterans lose their mission and goals, not just limbs. In this home I will regain my freedom and independence, enabling me to carry on another mission,” Putt told the television station. “Having a new home gives me the freedom to pursue my education and enjoy activities with my children.”

The organization reports it currently has 82 more homes underway nationwide.  You can find out more about the non-profit, including the veterans it has helped, a home build project map, and how you can help, on their website.

25 Kids From Around The World Photographed With What They Eat In One Week

We are what we eat. But how do our diets actually reflect us? To find out, photographer Gregg Segal has traveled around the world to shoot kids from different cultures surrounded by the stuff they stuff themselves with. Over the course of 3 years, the photographer has visited 9 countries (the USA, India, Malaysia, Germany, France, Italy, Senegal, the United Arab Emirates, and Brazil), documenting his findings in a book called Daily Bread: What Kids Eat Around the World. “I focused on kids because eating habits start young and if you don’t get it right when you’re 9 or 10, it’s going to be a lot harder when you’re older,” Gregg told Bored Panda.

Kawakanih, a member of the Yawalapiti tribe, lives in Xingu National Park, a preserve in the Amazonian Basin of Brazil. The park is encircled by cattle ranches and soy In the past six months alone, 100 million trees have been felled to make room for When she was born, Kawakanih’s mother, Watatakalu, isolated her from those who didn’t speak Arawaki, their native language. Only 7 speakers of the language remained and her mother was afraid Arawaki would go extinct. In fact, Kawakanih is the first child to be raised speaking Arawaki since the 1940’s and her mother says it’s up to Kawakanih and her two siblings to keep the language alive. Kawakanih has also learned her father’s dialect as well as Portuguese. She loves to read history books, especially ones about the Egyptians. Most of her days are spent playing in the river or helping with chores, like harvesting manioc (cassava), making tapioca and fishing. Every couple of months, Kawakanih travels to Canarana for school where she learns computer skills, though no one in her village owns a computer; there is no electricity or running water. To get to the studio in Brasilia, Kawakanih and her mother traveled 31 hours from their village by boat, bus and car. The red paint Kawakanih wears, traditionally made from ground urucum seeds, protects her from bad spirits and energy. A cluster of seedpods are to the left of Kawakanih’s head. Rainforest tribes have used the entire Urucum plant as medicine for centuries. Kawakanih’s diet is very simple, consisting mainly of fish, tapioca, fruit and nuts. It takes five minutes to catch dinner, says Kawakanih. When you’re hungry, you just go to the river with your net.

  • Geiger Counters

    Geiger Counters

Geiger Counters, used to detect ionizing radiation have been flying off the shelves due to the recent nuclear threat from North Korea. Just like we saw with the potassium iodide shortage after the nuclear reactor meltdown in Japan back in 2011, everyone seems to want to be as prepared as possible for whatever may come.

Once news hit of the possibility of a nuclear attack on the US, potassium iodide began flying off the shelves along the west coast. As the situation in North Korea continues to escalate there has been a global rush for radiation pills.

Geiger counters were first invented by a brilliant German physicist named Hans Geiger.  Since radiation is extremely harmful to all living things yet invisible and very hard to detect this was indeed a revolutionary invention of it’s time.  When the first Geiger counter was released on the market, it was extremely expensive and bulky making it impractical for the average person.  However, as technology continues to improve the devices have become more inexpensive and easier to use, allowing everyday people to own one.

In true survivalist form, you can take matters into your own hands and get your own geiger counter to monitor the radiation in and around your home. These are vital to have in a nuclear fallout crisis because otherwise, you have no way of knowing when sheltering is no longer necessary. It can also help you avoid contaminated food or water, or “hot spots” of radiation once the fallout has passed.

While there are many different options available for purchasing your own geiger counter, many are simply too bulky and impractical for modern day use.  I have hand selected my best recommendations for our readers so that you can buy with ease knowing that most of the legwork has already been done for you.

  • Sleep Deprivation Can Kill You. What Sleeping Less Than 7 Hours Per Night Does To Your Body And Brain

Sleep Deprivation Can Kill You. What Sleeping Less Than 7 Hours Per Night Does To Your Body And Brain

You count calories, exercise and do pretty much everything your doctor said. But, do you sleep well at night? Unfortunately, most people ignore this part of their everyday life. According to experts, you should sleep at least 7 hours at night. Sleep deprivation can be the underlying cause of your health problems. Read that again.

During an interview with the New York Times, technology giant Elon Musk said he suffers from exhaustion, and it’s all because of his packed lifestyle. His friends were worried about his health, and the effect this lifestyle has on his overall well-being.

Arianna Huffington, the founder of Huffington Post, wrote an open letter to Musk, and addressed his exhaustion.

Do you know that Musk works 120 hours a week? He spends all these hours away from his family and friends. Vacations are a big ‘no,’ and Musk is probably killing his vision and creativity. Huffington wrote that Musk needs to get some time to reconnect with himself, the people he loves and his wisdom.

Working hard is good sometimes, but it’s much better if we all work in a way that helps us make better decisions.

    Good sleep is important

Straying from our circadian rhythm or sleep cycle triggers a chaos in our body. Nobody is perfect. However, spending your nights awake to become perfect will keep you away from your goal.

Your body is designed to get proper rest. A good night’s sleep optimizes brain function, increases alertness, cleanses brain and boosts immunity.

How much do you sleep at night? Here’s how to find out. Go to bed without setting up an alarm clock. Do this for a few days and you will determine your sleep hours.

    Common symptoms of sleep deprivation

Sleep deprivation isn’t something that goes unnoticed. It causes serious health conditions, and here are some of its most common symptoms:

    1. Chronic fatigue

    2. Grogginess or crankiness

    3. Recurrent health issues

    4. Concentration issues or inability to complete tasks

    5. Weight gain

Chronic sleep deprivation throws your body out of control. You may end up developing metabolic syndrome. It’s a condition triggered by chronic inflammation in the body. Metabolic syndrome results in heart disease, diabetes and obesity.

Sleep deprivation affects your brain, too. Hormonal imbalances make you depressed and anxious. Mental health issues are oftentimes linked to sleep deprivation.

The National Health Institute conducted a study based on prescription sleeping pills. The results showed that these drugs provide marginal benefits when compared to placebo. Medicating your sleep is unhealthy and has a detrimental effect on your overall well-being.

    Sleep longer and better

We have a few tips on how to improve your sleep and put your sleep routine under control:

    1. Dark is good

Blue light lowers the production of melatonin or the sleep hormone. Artificial light makes you alert, and even the tiniest ray of blue light affects your sleep. Turn off any light before going to bed.

    2. Avoid technology 60-90 minutes before bedtime

Your body needs 60-90 minutes to recover its melatonin levels after being exposed to blue light. Some devices have sleep settings that filter out this light.

    3. Relax

Going to bed stressed out is not a good idea. Try to relax and calm your brain down. Read to a dim light, meditate or do a 5-minute breathing technique.

    4. Routines are healthy

Research has shown that your body likes routines. Getting out of sync is normal as long as it doesn’t happen all the time. Keep in mind that even one night can throw your body into frenzy.

    5. Cool bedrooms

Your body cools down during the night. Lower the temperature in your bedroom to get the same effect, and create the perfect sleeping environment.

    6. Magnesium

This mineral helps in fighting insomnia, and puts you in your rest-and-relax mode. It reduces restlessness before sleep.
