The Trump-Russia collusion lies spread by the Democrats are falling apart.

After a lengthy investigation, the House Intelligence Committee closed its probe into the Russia mess. Republicans realized that their efforts were pointless. They weren’t going to uncover anything else because there was nothing else to learn. There was no collusion.

President Trump is triumphant.

“THE HOUSE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE HAS, AFTER A 14 MONTH LONG IN-DEPTH INVESTIGATION, FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF COLLUSION OR COORDINATION BETWEEN THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN AND RUSSIA TO INFLUENCE THE 2016 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION,” he tweeted Monday.

Democrats look foolish. They have wasted a massive amount of time and resources trying to prove that there was something sordid in President Trump’s relationship with Vladimir Putin.

“We found perhaps some bad judgment, inappropriate meetings, inappropriate judgment in taking meetings — but only Tom Clancy could take this series of inadvertent contacts, meetings, whatever, and weave that into some sort of a spy thriller that could go out there,” Rep. Mike Conway said in a statement.

In fact, the House investigation found that it was Hillary Clinton, not Trump who conspired with the Russians.

“We will say that there was an attempt to use foreign sources with respect to the Clinton campaign” Conway said.

“It was clear that if there was — at least Steele and however much he talked and didn’t talk to Russians — that’s foreigners and that information was paid for by the DNC and the Clinton campaign.”

That’s right. It’s Clinton who should have been the focus of the investigation. Democrats, however, would never accept that. They’re not even willing to accept the results of the House probe clearing President Trump. On Monday a flurry of Democrats complained about the Intelligence Committee’s findings.

House Democrats plan to release their own counter-report. Both reports will eventually be released to the public.

Attorney Robert Barnes is representing several students from Covington Catholic High School who he says were libeled in the aftermath of the incident at the Life for March.

And, in an appearance on Fox News over the weekend, he listed the individuals he would be going after.

First, those who are in the clear: Rep. Ilhan Omar, who posted a tweet that claimed the students told a woman, “It’s not rape if you enjoy it” and who took the side of the Black Hebrew Israelite sect harassing the students, saying they were harassing the sect instead. Barnes said they asked her to retract the tweet and she did.

Also on that list was comedian Kathy Griffin, who retracted tweets which were aimed at doxing the students.

Then there those facing possible suits. The first mentioned was Reza Aslan, the former CNN host who’s known for his frequently profane rants against anything that has to do with Donald Trump or conservatives.

Here was his take, not retracted, seeming to call for violence against a minor:

In an interview Saturday with Fox News Jesse Watters, Barnes said Aslan is one possible target of a lawsuit.

Another potential target is Matthew Dowd, the ABC News analyst who first lambasted the kids and then clung to the idea that the fuller video showed them to be racists.

Check the footage. All of it. These students were exhibiting awful behavior and bigotry.

Those tweets were still up late Monday morning, which means Dowd was looking at a possible lawsuit.

The New York Daily News is another potential target for their article mistaking a Covington Catholic “blackout game” for an instance of blackface.

As Watters pointed out, however, libel lawsuits can be difficult to win.

“From my limited understanding of the law — I did not go to law school — it’s a very high bar, the slander and the libel,” Watters said. “I mean, you have to show malicious intent and knowingly that something is wrong and defamatory. It doesn’t always work in court. Are you confident you’re going to be able to secure judgments?”

Do you think these journalists should be sued?

Barnes pointed out, however, there was a “unique exception.”

“When there is a defamation and libel of private citizens, particularly minors, then the legal standard goes way down,” Barnes said. “So you no longer have to prove actual malice or malevolent intent. All you have to prove is that a false statement was made — or in Kentucky, the law is even broader, ‘an unflattering impression given and a person’s impression in a false light’ — and otherwise … that it just be negligent to do so.”

That, Barnes explained, is why the families gave individuals a 48-hour window to retract or delete their statements.

“If they still refuse to do so, it’s clearly negligent for them to keep false statements up.”

And that’s not something I think the left particularly wants. At least at this point, the media is able to pass the kerfuffle off as a cultural Rorschach test: You see what you want to.

If it gets into a court of law and journalists who should have known better are clearly shown to have not known better, that’s not only going to drag this on — it’s more than likely to move this into a stage where news organizations are going to try to dig up dirt on minors to defend themselves or admit they were desperate to keep the narrative alive.

It’ll likely show, in a very public forum, how they denigrated and villainized underage kids for clicks and ratings.

That’s not a fate anyone who rushed to judgment on this case wants. The longer their arguments are out in the sun of public scrutiny, the more they wither and putrefy — and to a jury, that could look like a large cash award.

President Donald Trump promised to cut taxes and reduce the deficit, but it’s not as easy as that sounds.

While the federal government could use with some belt-tightening, it looks like Congress refuses to go on a diet.

They love spending your money on frivolous programs that benefit few.

When it comes time to cut back, they are unwilling to make the tough choices that will save American tax payers billions.

So they went to the President, demanding that he agree to go back on his promise and cut Social Security and Medicare.

Trump proceeded to give them a piece of his mind.

Office of Management and Budget chief Mick Mulvaney said he went back to Mr. Trump recently and said they had to look at cutting entitlement spending, and the president rebuffed him.

“He said, look, I’m still not going to do it, but happy to have a conversation,” Mr. Mulvaney said on “Fox News Sunday.” Same thing we — discussion we had in the spring, I promised people I wouldn’t change Social Security. I’m not going to do it…”

Mr. Mulvaney said the White House suggested $54 billion in cuts to discretionary spending this year — programs such as environment, education, federal law enforcement and the like — but Congress has agreed to only about $4 billion.

That leaves entitlements, such as Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and food stamps as the other targets — and, analysts said, the biggest drivers of the rising debt.

But Mr. Trump promised during the campaign he wouldn’t touch those big programs, and appears to be holding to that vow.

It’s funny how Congress always want to cut the programs Americans paid into. Bloated costs they fight to keep, but Social Security is always on the chopping block.

Hey Congress, how about you reduce spending for those big fat paychecks–including all those leeches that work in your offices? I’m sure you find plenty of cash there!

Instead the frauds in D.C. want to punish American tax payers who paid into the system for decades, denying them their S.S. Maybe they can cut back on programs that help illegal aliens, criminals, and others who exploit our government.

Trump’s determination to protect Social Security and Medicare will force Congress to make cuts in other places. Hmm, maybe they’ll be forced to actually work for a change.

Lawmakers in direct opposition to President Trump and his policies have tried in every way to convince Americans that a border wall is unnecessary despite their previous support for such measures.

Not too long ago, Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said, “I have never supported a border wall, and I challenge anyone on the hard right to find a time that I—or any expert—has supported a wall.”

He clearly must have forgotten the Secure Fence Act of 2006, which was passed by a Republican Congress and signed by President George W. Bush, which authorized about 700 miles of fencing along certain stretches of land between the border of the United States and Mexico.

According to Politifact, at the time the act was being considered, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Chuck Schumer were all members of the Senate — they all supported this measure.

Back in 2013 Democratic Senators such as Chuck Schumer, Mazie Hirono, and Elizabeth Warren voted yes to protect the border along the United States and Mexico in a bipartisan effort in immigration reform.

Included was about 700 miles of fencing along the border and efforts to end chain migration and the visa lottery.

Flash forward to 2019 and these same type of Democrats are no longer supporting immigration reform strategies proposed by President Donald Trump.

While top Democrats continue to claim there is no CRISIS at the border, those on the front lines tell a much different story.

While filming a segment on Border Security CBS did an interview with  top ranking Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agent Fernando Grijalv. During his interview Grijalv echoed the concerns The President is trying to convey to the American People.

According to CBS, a group of 180 migrants were apprehended by Arizona border agents Wednesday morning.

Grijalva said the area has become a hotbed for illegal crossing.

“I’ve seen six different presidents at the time that I’ve been with the Border Patrol and this is the worst crisis that I’ve seen,” he said.

Despite not being paid because of the shutdown, Grijalva said patrols are dangerous, but that hasn’t stopped him or other agents from doing their jobs.

“They know that we have a job to do,” he said.

Vice President Mike Pence wrote a powerful opinion piece for Fox News celebrating the success of President Trump’s first six months in office.

“It is the greatest privilege of my life to serve as Vice President to a president who is fighting every single day to restore an America of freedom, prosperity, and opportunity for all,” said the Vice President recounting the numerous successes of the Trump administration in half a year. (via )

Mike Pence draws a stark parallel between President Trump and former President Obama. While America stagnated under Obama, it is flourishing thanks to President Trump.

The former President relied on the non-elected bureaucracy to push his agenda on the American people, while President Trump uses his constitutional authority. He has signed over 40 bills into law and issued almost 40 executive orders.

This administration’s decisive actions have kick-started the American economy. President Trump has cut more red tape than any president in American history saving companies up to $18 billion per year.

Additionally, President Trump is committed to ending our reliance on foreign energy, and he has approved the Keystone XL pipeline and the Dakota Access pipeline to meet our energy needs.

The economy was at a stand still when President Trump took office, but his business-friendly administration has restored confidence creating over 800,000 new jobs since January.

And the economy is only going to continue to soar as President Trump unveils his plan to make the tax code flatter and fairer for everyone.

Vice President Pence went on the praise President Trump’s success reviving the military. Finally, the president is showing the military the respect they deserve. ISIS is on the ropes and has almost been completely destroyed since President Trump took office.

At home, President Trump has secured our borders and has taken the handcuffs off federal immigration agents. As a result, illegal border crossing have dropped at least 60 percent, and dangerous criminals are being taken off our streets.

All of this and more has been achieved despite obstructionist Democrats in Congress and a hostile mainstream media.

“President Trump’s accomplishments are nothing short of historic. But as the president likes to say, at this White House that’s just what we call a good start.” Pence concluded.

The mother of one of the Trump-supporting, MAGA hat-wearing boys filmed mocking Native American veteran Nathan Phillips has accused “black Muslims” of creating the situation while also suggesting the former soldier who fought in Vietnam had provoked the group of students.

“Shame on you! Were you there? Did you hear the names the people where (sic) calling these boys? It was shameful. Did you witness the black Muslims yelling profanities and video taping trying to get something to futher (sic) your narrative of hatred??,” the mother wrote in an email to news site Heavy.

“Did you know that this ‘man’ came up to this one boy and drummed in his face? Shame on you. Only reporting what you want. More fake news,” she added, echoing President Donald Trump’s repeated attacks on media coverage that he does not feel is positive.

The group of students from the all-male Covington Catholic High School was in Washington on Friday to participate in an anti-abortion March for Life rally when they came across a march for indigenous peoples’ right. The teenagers were filmed and went viral as they jeered at Phillips while he sang a native chant and beat a drum. In response, the boys chanted “build the wall, build the wall,” a phrase that has become a catch-all for Trump supporters’ dislike of darker-skinned or culturally different Americans. 

In a separate video posted after the incident, the veteran pointed out the disturbing irony of the boys actions. “This is indigenous lands, we’re not supposed to have walls here,” he said, showing visible emotion after the confrontation. “We never did.”

Many politicians and pundits were quick to condemn the actions of the boys. Democratic Representative Deb Haaland, a member of New Mexico’s Laguna Pueblo tribe, who became one of the first two Native American woman elected to Congress in November, slammed the students for their “blatant hate, disrespect, and intolerance” on Twitter.

“The behavior shown in that video is just a snapshot of what indigenous people have faced and are continuing to face,” Representative Ruth Buffalo, a North Dakota state lawmaker and member of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara Nation, said in response to the videos that circulated widely on social media, according to The Independent.

Responding swiftly to the backlash, the Catholic high school and the Diocese of Covington issued an apology and condemnation of the the students’ behavior.

“We extend our deepest apologies to Mr. Phillips. This behavior is opposed to the church’s teachings on the dignity and respect of the human person,” they said. “The matter is being investigated and we will take appropriate action, up to and including expulsion.”

When told by Heavy that her angry email would be reported as part of the story, the mother lashed out with another angry response.

“I want nothing to do with helping perpetuating (sic) your hate. I do not want to be a part of your story. You are ruining a boys life for fake news. Hate spreads like wildfire. I pray for you,” she wrote.
