Trump Unveils Brand New 2019 Slogan

President Donald Trump has unveiled a brand new slogan for 2019 that everyone should support.

Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to unveil his new slogan for the border wall as he pushed Democrats to strike a deal on the barrier and to reopen the federal government.

“BUILD A WALL & CRIME WILL FALL! This is the new theme, for two years until the Wall is finished (under construction now), of the Republican Party. Use it and pray!” Trump tweeted Wednesday morning.

The president followed that up with another tweet: “BUILD A WALL & CRIME WILL FALL!”

The slogan would replace the old, “BUILD THAT WALL,” which was chanted by many Trump supporters at rallies and events over the past few years.

The president’s tweets come amid a 34-day partial government shutdown, and there’s no end in sight given Democrats have refused all of Trump’s deals and will not offer any funding for the wall.

On Thursday, it was reported that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is finally prepared to offer Trump a $5 billion government shutdown deal, but it can’t be used for a wall.

Instead, the Democrats plan will “include at least $5 billion for border protection efforts like new technology and more law enforcement agents, according to multiple aides.”

The money could only be used for more border agents, immigration judges, small-time fixes to ports of entry, and technology updates.

The funds cannot be used for any sort of border barrier, which is what Trump and a vast majority of his supporters want.

Here’s more from the report on the Democrats’ planned $5 billion offer:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to formally unveil the proposal Thursday evening, after the Senate takes up its own dueling funding measures to reopen the government. Both are partisan bills that are predicting to fall short of the necessary 60 votes.

House Democratic leaders are trying to show movement as some cracks in their caucus begin to show in the unprecedented 33rd day of shuttered government operations.

A handful of moderate Democrats have begun to speak out against Pelosi’s strategy of refusing to negotiate until the government is reopened. A small group, led by freshman Rep. Elaine Luria of Virginia, began circulating a letter this week pressing Pelosi to counter Trump’s proposal with her own potential compromise.

Despite historic obstruction from Democrats, a new ABC News/Washington Post poll reveals that approval for Trump’s proposed wall has soared in popularity with American voters across the board, especially with swing-state voters.

The poll also shows that there’s an increase in support for the wall among nearly all demographic groups across the country.

The first immigration poll of the year also spells bad news for Democrats.

According to a Economist/YouGov survey, 93 percent of Americans say illegal immigration is a problem.

The poll found that just 7 percent of the overall public say illegal immigration is “not a problem” facing the nation.

While Democrats have refused to strike a deal to reopen the government and fund the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico, it appears an overwhelming majority agrees with Trump on the immediate need to secure the border.
